Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have a greater responsibility to ensure smartphone screens, particularly flagship offerings, provide adequate protection.

Introduced in 2020, Corning offered pretty solid protection with Gorilla Glass Victus, which has been part of several flagship devices since its release.

As the successor to Victus, the recently introduced Gorilla Glass Victus+ will now be part of all three models in the Galaxy S22 range.

Popular tipster Ice Universe has said that the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra will come with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front or back, or possibly both. Both the Galaxy S21 and S21+ had a plastic back, while the S21 Ultra featured Victus on both sides.

Ice Universe goes on to claim that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will pack more features than the S22 and S22+, as well as super-clear glass, according to the leaked spec sheet. The reinforced glass is said to reduce reflections and glare on the device.

The Samsung S22 and S22+ are rumored to come in pink, gold, green, black, and white color variants. While the S22 Ultra will be available in burgundy, green, black, and white colors. Samsung will officially unveil the lineup on February 8th.
