People From Anywhere Can Now Get A Lahore Driver’s License
Following specific instructions from Acting Prime Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi and IG Punjab, Lahore City Traffic Police (CTP) will ensure that the permitting process is simplified for the general public. In the future, citizens from all corners of the country will be able to obtain a driver’s license in Lahore.
Lahore Chief Traffic Captain (CTO) (Ret) Mustansar Firoz said hundreds of thousands of badge holders from other districts and provinces can use the licensing facilities in Lahore. Foreigners from other countries can also get licenses from Lahore, she added.
Previously, only Lahore ID card holders could obtain a license from the Punjab capital. Applicants can now visit any license center with their CNIC ID Card and a copy of the Learning Permit after 42 days to obtain a permanent license.
For the convenience of citizens, Liberty Market and Manawan Center remain open 24 hours while Arfa Karim Test Center, Greater Iqbal, Defense Center, and Bahria City Licensing Services remain operational from 08:00 to 12:00.
The department has also deployed 3 mobile vans, 23 licensing centers, and 06 testing centers across the city.
