Girls Aloud Singer Sarah Harding Died At 39

Singer Sarah Harding died of Metastatic breast cancer at the age of 39.

Sarah, whose group Girls Aloud was one of the UK’s most successful girl groups, died on Sunday just over a year after revealing she had breast cancer.

Her mother Marie broke the news on Instagram, along with a black-and-white photo of the smiling English singer.

“I know you don’t want you to be remembered for your battle with this terrible disease, it was a shining star and I hope it will be remembered that way”, can we read in the message.

Sarah Harding’s Cause of Death

Harding announced in August 2020 that she had been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, then said next Christmas would likely be her last.

In March 2021, he published an autobiography in which he said he decided to disclose his illness in order to encourage others to see a doctor, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, if necessary.

“As scary as it was to go public with my diagnosis, it was the right thing and the support I received was incredible,” said Harding.

“I have been inundated with adorable messages from my fans. I am indescribably grateful for it.”

Girls Aloud were formed on the ITV reality show “Popstars: The Rivals” in 2002, with Harding as one of five members alongside Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Tweedy, and Kimberley Walsh.

The group broke up in 2013 after selling over four million singles in the UK. His four number 1 songs included “Sound of the Underground” and “The Promise”.

Geri Horner of the Spice Girls wrote on Twitter: “Rest In Peace Sarah Harding. You will be remembered for the light and joy you have brought to the world.”
