Hoang’s mother, Alisa Hoang, wrote on Facebook on 18th December 2022: “Please help me find my son…he disappeared yesterday before he met us before lunch.” We need your prayers and eyes to protect him.”

Texas A&M Student Missing
A missing person poster shared by Hoang’s mother indicates that he disappeared at noon on Friday, December 16, 2022. He was last seen in Caldwell, Texas.
Hoang is 6 feet tall. He is 22 years old. Anyone with information is asked to call College Station Police at 979-764-3600. The Facebook page dedicated to their investigation provided more details:
Tanner was last seen on Friday 12/16. heard at 8:30 a.m. His family came into town on Friday to celebrate his graduation from Texas A&M; however, he was not expected to graduate. Only he knew.
He turned off his cell phone around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. m. and left his apartment around 11 a.m. m. Obtained gasoline from Johnson Shell at 200 N. Green (Highway 36) in Caldwell, Texas at 12:08 p.m. on Friday, 12/16. He got 10,204 gallons for $27.54 and put it on his debit card.
We don’t know which direction he was going when he left the shell. The family tried to get video footage, but the outside cameras didn’t work. Since then he has not been seen or heard from.
According to the Facebook page, he drives a silver 2009 Lexus 4-door sedan with Texas LP registration number BS2C737.
Statement From Hoang’s Mother
On 20th December 2022, the Facebook group shared a post from Hoang’s mother saying he was still missing. “My son is still missing. We miss him dearly and more than anything we want another opportunity to hug him and tell him we love him very much.”
“It was a heartbreaking 4 days for our family but God had already fixed them. Lives are transformed by the loving goodness of God. God’s love for Tanner and our family was so evident and overwhelming.”
Police Investigation Report
The Facebook page posted a timeline of missing persons’ case updates. The latest information reads: “University Station Police have an open missing person case 2022-0101994. They can be reached at 979-764-3600,” they wrote.
On 20th December 2022, they wrote: “There is nothing new to report at this time. The family will be meeting with DPS over the next few hours to discuss the clues that unfolded overnight and formulate a plan for the day… Find Tanner’s vehicle today! Thank you all!!”
On 19th December, there were “a few leads… One was a possible sighting in Giddings and another in San Antonio at a hospital. There is quite a bit of media coverage in various markets tonight. Tuan Hoang has done a great job representing the family and their faith. We are grateful for the media coverage and those who shared it as it reaches others searching for Tanner tomorrow.”
