Brandon Collado is the accused Elon Musk family stalker and Uber Eats driver who was captured in a video Musk posted to his 122 million Twitter followers.

Taylor Lorenz and Drew Harwell of The Washington Post named Collado as the driver of the car in the 18th December 2022 video.

Elon Musk’s ‘Crazy Stalker’

According to the Washington Post, the incident “occurred around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in South Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles. m.”, December 13, 2022. South Pasadena police visited the gas station but made no arrests. post reported.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit “has been in touch with Musk’s representatives and the security team,” the Post reported, but no criminal charges have been filed, at least not again.

Musk shared a video showing off Collado to his 122 million followers on Twitter.

“Last night a car carrying Lil X in Los Angeles was being followed by a maniac stalker (who thought it was me) who then stopped the car and climbed on the hood,” he wrote on Dec. 14, 2022.

“There are ongoing legal actions against Sweeney and the organizations that supported the harm done to my family.”

Sweeney is the student whose @ElonJet account tracked Musk’s private jet. He vowed to continue doing so even though Musk banned his Twitter account, he wrote in a Newsweek comment.

“If I quit, Musk wins,” reads the headline.

What Was The Collado Statement?

The Post interviewed Collado, who told the paper he was interested in Musk and Grimes, Musk’s musician and some-time girlfriend, the mother of two of Musk’s children. Grimes’ real name is Claire Boucher. Grimes lives near the gas station where Musk’s security team captured the video, the Post reported.

Collado told the Post he drives for Uber Eats and is in the neighborhood for that reason. He also claimed that Grimes “sends him encrypted messages through his Instagram posts; that Musk was monitoring his real-time location and that he could control Uber Eats to prevent him from receiving delivery orders,” the Post reported.

According to the Post, Grimes was recently followed by a man, and police are investigating if it was Collado.

Police Investigation Report

The Post article claimed that the LAPD did not believe the now-suspended @ElonJet Twitter account was connected to the Collado incident, instead believing harassers often use open-source data. Musk claimed that the @ElonJet account put his and his family’s safety at risk and criticized reporters for retweeting information from @ElonJets.

“Reporters knew about the violent stalker and yet they manipulated my family’s real-time location. Turns out it’s a criminal offense,” Musk wrote on Twitter on Dec. 17, 2022. After conducting a Twitter poll, he lifted the bans on some journalists. Writing: “People have spoken. Accounts that cheated my location will now be banned.”

Musk also wrote, “If someone released the real-time locations and addresses of NYT reporters, the FBI would determine there were hearings on Capitol Hill and Biden would be making speeches about the end of democracy.”
