London Therapist Found Guilty of Murdering Mee Kuen Chong

Tourists found the decapitated remains of Ms. Chong in Salcombe, 200 miles from her home in Wembley.

Mitchell made a will to save money to renovate his home.

Ms. Chong, also known as Deborah, has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has mental health issues, the suit told the Old Bailey.

The jury was told the couple, both committed Christians, met and became close through a church group, with Mitchell acting as Ms. Chong’s “spiritual healer”.

Ms. Chong originally offered to invest £200,000 in the refurbishment of Mitchell’s derelict £4 million estate in northwest London. However, he later changed his mind and told Mrs. Mitchell to sell the house that had been in her family for generations and enjoy the money.

Shortly thereafter, Ms. Chong disappeared before her remains were discovered in the forest 16 days later.

At the time, Mitchell made a fake email report to a missing person charity and sent a WhatsApp message to Ms. Chong’s tenants, saying the 67-year-old had spent a year cleaning up with her family.

He also wrote that Ms. Chong plans to stay “somewhere near the ocean.”

But CCTV footage showed her carrying a large blue suitcase to Ms. Chong’s home, which prosecutors said contained the murder kit, and leaving five hours later with the suitcase and another bag.

Police analysts found Mitchell maneuvering the blue suitcase, which was captured on CCTV footage and shown to the jury, indicating it now contained a heavier load.

Prosecutors said the smaller bag was filled with Ms. Chong’s financial documents.

Later that night the jury learned that Mitchell had gone to St Thomas’s Hospital in central London with a broken finger and claimed she locked him in a door.

Fifteen days later, on June 26, 2021, Mitchell packed the body in the boot of a rental car and drove to Devon, where he dumped it before returning to London.

The next day, tourists discovered Ms. Chong’s headless body in the forest, and a few days later her skull was found in a nearby scrub.

Mitchell refused to testify at her trial, but her defense claimed that prosecutors could not prove her involvement or that Ms. Chong was actually murdered.

Mitchell stood in the dock and briefly closed his eyes as the verdict was announced.

Police Investigation Report

Judge Richard Marks later praised the police team for their “excellent and extremely thorough investigative work”.

It can now be reported that she was also convicted of violating a ban on sexual abuse involving members of her family.

Outside the Old Bailey, Detective Inspector Jim Eastwood, who led the investigation, said, “Mitchell never claimed responsibility for Deborah’s murder, so there are still unanswered questions.”

Why did you keep her body for a fortnight, cut off her head and dump her remains at Salcombe?

“What we do know is that these were evil acts committed by an evil woman and the sole motive was clearly financial gain.”

Mitchell, who was found guilty after about eight hours of jury deliberation, will be sentenced Friday.
