Casting Your Vote in Local Body Election Sindh 2024

Voting is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The importance of voters being fully informed of the constituency and polling station at which they registered cannot be overstated.

If you’re still not sure, text your CNIC ID Card Number to 8300 without the hyphen.

Here are some detailed tips for voters to follow when voting in Local Body Elections Sindh 2024:

Go To Polling Station

Once you have entered the polling station, contact the polling officers.

Show Your CNIC ID Card To the Polling Officer

The poll worker will verify your information on the voter roll if you show him your original CNIC ID Card and cross out your name. Each party’s poll clerk will oversee this process and then compare the voter’s details with their list.

It should be noted that voters whose CNICs have expired are still eligible to vote, but poll workers will not accept photocopies of CNICs.

Thumbprint

After that, the officer will fingerprint your ballot in front of your photo. The voter’s thumb below the thumbnail would be marked in permanent ink after verifying that it was unmarked.

The left thumb is inked for male voters and the right thumb for female voters. Male voters have their left thumb inked.

The Presiding Officers Deliver The Ballots

You will be directed to the Vice President who will distribute the ballots after your fingerprint has been taken.

It is then sent to the Vice-President, who casts two votes, one green and one blue each, for the President and Vice-President positions of the Council of the Union, and for the Council of Neighborhood Union members in general.

Your CNIC number, census block code number, serial number, and area name will be written on the ballot by these Vice Presidents.

The documents are also sealed and signed by the Vice Presidents.

These agents record your fingerprint on the stump.

It should be noted that voters in the electoral districts receive ballots in three different colors: green, blue, and gray.

Vote For A Candidate

In the next step, you will be directed to the voting booth where you can stamp the ballot papers after your election.

Place The Ballot in The Ballot Box

After sealing the ballots, fold them and place them in the boxes provided.

What you need to be aware of at this point is that there is no chair, campaign worker, or candidate present during this process.

If You Have Any Questions, Contact The Polling Officer

However, if you have questions, you can contact any polling official or poll worker to address your concerns.

Things To Remember

In addition, voters should note the following to ensure the voting process runs smoothly.

1. Stick To The Priority List

According to the ECP, priority is given to pregnant women, people with disabilities, the elderly, and transgender people.

So wait patiently for your turn.

2. Cell Phones And Cameras Blocked At Polling Stations
