PPP wins in NA-249 Karachi Elections by-polls; Shock to PTI

The Pakistani People’s Party (PPP) defeated the PTI in the by-elections in constituency NA-249, while PML-N candidate Muftah Ismail finished second.

According to Express-News, the unofficial and unconfirmed results came from the 276 polling stations in the constituency, according to which the PPP candidate Qadir Khan won Mandokhel by 16,156 votes while the PPP candidates won by just 683 votes.

The ۔PML-N candidate Muftah Ismail took second place with 15,473 votes, while the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Amjad Iqbal Afridi took fifth place with 8,922 votes. Nazir Ahmed from Tehreek-e-Labeek Pakistan was third with 11,125 votes, PSP candidate Mustafa Kamal fourth with 9,22 votes.

Muhammad Zubair spoke to the media along with Muftah Ismail outside the NA-249 RO office and said that if NA-249 attendance was low the census should have been completed soon until all Forms 45 were found. No, Muhammad Zubair will go said that the people voted for PML-N, now the results have to be announced, our candidate Muftah Ismail cannot go to the DRO office either, we have received form 45 from 117 broadcasters polls.

According to the results of 117 polling stations, Muftah Ismail received 7,000 votes. Muhammad Zubair said the polling station chairman’s number 260 was also turned off.

Muftah Ismail said that a copy of Form 45 was not delivered to our polling officers from 2 polling stations, a copy of Form 45 at polling stations 260 and 261.
