US Govt Extends Visa Waiver Eligibility For Pakistani Citizens

The United States Mission to Pakistan announced the extension of interview waiver privileges at the United States Embassy in Islamabad and the United States Consulate General in Karachi for Pakistani citizens renewing B1 tourist and business visas B2.

According to a statement published here, Pakistani citizens aged 45 and over who have valid B1/B2 visas or have expired within the last 48 months are eligible to participate.

This is a process change intended to provide better customer service and more efficiently process tourist and business visa extensions for qualified and eligible Pakistani citizens. As required by US law, some eligible visa holders may be required to appear for interviews at the US Embassy or Consulate-General after submitting their application, the press release added.
