T20 World Cup 2021: Scotland Qualify For The Second Round, Facing Pakistan On 7th November

Scotland made history by qualifying for the second round of the ICC T20 World Cup for the first time.

The Scots defeated Oman and finished first in Group B and moved up to Group 2 of the Super 12.

Scotland was joined by Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, and New Zealand and the finalists from Qualifying Group A, either Ireland or Namibia.

Meanwhile, tomorrow the second classification for Group 2 will be decided.

Pakistan faces Scotland on November 7 in Dubai.

The Scots defeated Oman with an eight-wicket victory in Muscat on Thursday as they comfortably chased their goal of 123 with 18 balls remaining to claim their third of three qualifying wins.

Scotland had crowned Oman in 122 to take pole position knowing that victory would secure a place on the next lap.

Oman, who won the throw and decided to hit, got off to a terrible start when Jatinder Singh served the second ball after a mix-up that left him and starting player Aqib Ilyas on the same side.

Ilyas had the best score with 37 balls of 35, but the home team never shook the chains of Scottish bowling.
