Sabina Nessa was an elementary school teacher who was found dead after an alleged attack by a stranger in a park in South London.
She was found in Cator Park, Greenwich, a few miles from where she worked in Catford.

Police were called at 5:32 p.m. Saturday after her body was not found for almost 24 hours.
She taught at nearby Rushey Green Primary School after studying at the University of Bedfordshire. She started going to school in July 2020.
A 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was released during the trial.
Chief Inspector of Detectives Joe Garrity said: “Our initial investigations indicate that this attack took place on Friday, November 17th.”
“Sabina was found near the OneSpace Community Center, which we know is used by many people, and we are asking anyone in or around the area who may have information to come forward.”

Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, a local police officer in Greenwich, said: “Our thoughts go first to Sabina’s family and friends after this shocking incident and we will continue to support them as the investigation progresses.”
“We know that this incident is going to be worrisome for those who live and work in the community.”
“You can expect more visible patrols both in and around the crime scene and in other open areas in Lewisham and Greenwich counties in the coming days.”
“As always, we are also working closely with the two local authorities to speak to our communities and make sure we are doing everything we can to keep people safe.”
