Queen Elizabeth II in Rare Outing With Her Walking Stick

Queen Elizabeth II first used a walking stick at a major public event on Tuesday when she was attending a service at Westminster Abbey in London.

The 95-year-old monarch got out of the car in which she was driving with her daughter Princess Anne, a black stick in hand, a rare sight for the record-breaking monarch.

The last time she was photographed with a stick was after knee surgery in 2004. Her office did not provide a reason why she used the walker on Tuesday.

Her husband Philip, officially known as the Duke of Edinburgh, died on 9th April at the age of 99, a few weeks before his 100th birthday and after a lengthy illness.
