Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2023 To Officially Resume Soon

The federal government has officially decided to adopt the Prime Minister’s laptop program, confirmed Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for youth affairs.

SAPM is said to have announced this during a press conference with the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb.

The special assistant announced that 100,000 laptops will be distributed to talented students across the country. He added that Balochistan’s quota has doubled.

The Laptop program is run under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP). In addition to the laptop program, the skills development program is launched, under which 100,000 gifted students receive computer training.

In early October, the Chair of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed announced the revival of the laptop program in the coming months.

He added that HEC will launch online courses for university students in cooperation with Microsoft and several other international companies.
