Meghan’s Texts Read In Court: Duchess Says Royal Family ‘Insulted’ Prince Harry
Meghan Markle’s former communications secretary Jason Knauf read suspicious texts from her in court, revealing she was angry with the royal family for berating Prince Harry.
The correspondence between the two was presented in court on Friday during MailOnline’s appeal hearing in Meghan’s data protection case.
The PA reports that Meghan told Knauf that she wanted to write the letter that was sent after she married her father in May 2018 because she saw “how much pain this [Harry] has caused”.
“Even after a week with her father [Prince Charles] and endless explanations of the situation, her family seem to forget the context and wonder ‘Can’t she visit him and stop by?’ “The text was from Meghan.” Basically, you don’t understand, at least write [,] H can tell her family… ‘She wrote him a letter and still does.'”
She continued, “By taking this form of action, I am protecting my husband from this constant scolding and, while unlikely, I can give my father a moment to take a break.”

As per the PA, Meghan also explained her way of thinking when writing the letter and wrote to Knauf: “Of course I only wrote understanding that it could leak, so I was meticulous in my choice of words.”

“One of those decisions the Duchess made was to call her father ‘Papa’ and argued to Knauf that she called him “just daddy” and “in the unfortunate event that this leaked, it would be heartbreaking.”
As per the Knauf, Meghan apologized in court for not remembering those conversations with him, saying: ‘I had absolutely no desire or intention to mislead the accused or the court,’ reads in court documents, as per the E! News.
