Maxwell Hockin was found dead behind company headquarters. As per the army, Hockin died on 9th October.
The military said Hockin had been stationed with the 91st Engineering Battalion at Fort Hood, a facility in Texas, since July 2017.
“The entire Saber family is devastated by the loss of our true teammate and friend, Specialist Maxwell Hockin,” said Lt. Col.
Patrick Sullivan, 91st Engineering Battalion commander. “He had an exceptional work ethic, he was a mentor to his colleagues and was always ready to help the team. He will really be lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Maxwell family during this difficult time.”

His current age was 26 years.
Fort Hood Soldier Found Died Behind Company Barracks
US Army officers at Fort Hood identified a soldier found dead Saturday behind his company headquarters.
SPC. Maxwell Hockin, 26, was found unconscious on 9th October, authorities said in a statement, but it is not yet clear what led to his death.
Hockin has been assigned to the 91st Engineering Battalion since July 2017 and is stationed at the Texas Central Post.
Since joining the military as a combat engineer in March 2017, Hockin has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.
The 91st Engineer Battalion is part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division based out of Fort Hood.

What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
Authorities did not say how Hockin died. The United States Army Criminal Police Command is investigating his death.
Fort Hood was at the center of the controversy. ABC News reports that 14 senior military officers were suspended due to weather and popular culture following the death of SPC. Vanessa Guillén. She was murdered in April 2020.
The Army Criminal Police Office is investigating what happened to Hockin.
