Gloria Williams and her boyfriend are behind bars after authorities found a dead child in a rotting apartment in Houston while their three brothers lived alone.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that Williams, 35, was arrested Tuesday and charged with failing to injure a child for failing to provide adequate medical care and supervision.

What Was The Crime?
The three 8-year-old siblings aged 15, 7, and 4 lived alone for almost a year in CityParc II in the West Oaks Apartments.
The 15-year-old called 911 on Sunday and said his mother left him there with his younger siblings for months. He also said that his younger brother died in a room in the apartment and that they had lived with his rotting body for months.
The Harris County coroner’s office said the boy died of “murderous violence” and suffered numerous blunt trauma.
“They [the children] were there while the body was deteriorating,” González said at a press conference. The brothers and sisters “defended one another. … The 15-year-old took care of the others.”
A neighbor of the residential complex noticed a smell from the children’s apartment about a year ago. She told ABC 7 that she believed the apartment was deserted and reported the odor to the property management several times.
The children were taken from their homes and taken to a local hospital for a medical examination. You are now in the care of the child protection service.
Gloria Williams And Her Boyfriend Arrested
On Tuesday, Brian Coulter, 31, was arrested and charged with murder related to the death of an eight-year-old boy identified as Kendrick Lee in court documents from DailyMail.com. His bail was set at $1 million.
Coulter was out of court on Wednesday for undergoing a mental examination.
Gloria Williams, 35, Coulter’s friend and mother of the victim, is charged with failing to injure a child and manipulate evidence: a human corpse. He is due to appear before a judge on Wednesday.

What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
“The child protection service is currently investigating together with law enforcement agencies to ensure the immediate safety of the children. The children are being examined at a local hospital and the Family and Protection Services Department is seeking urgent custody of the three children,” CPS said in a statement.
