Kentucky State Police (KSP) Station 1 is investigating the death of a 5-month-old baby found Tuesday.

Baby Found Dead On E. Adams Mill Road in Cadiz
Just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Trigg County Dispatch notified Kentucky State Police of a baby found dead at the E. Adams Mill Road residence in Cadiz.
KSP’s preliminary investigation revealed that the boy’s mother, Curtis, 28, was living with the baby at the E. Adams Mill Road residence.
The boy died Monday night for reasons that are still under investigation. Curtis picked up the dead baby and went to a friend’s house. Then he went home, wrapped the baby in a blanket, and put it in the attic of the house.
Curtis made no attempt to call 911 or get medical help for the baby. Curtis’ friends, worried about the baby, call 911.

Why Was Shalynn Curtis Arrested?
KSP detectives arrested Curtis and charged him with corpse abuse. She was incarcerated in the Christian County Jail.
An autopsy was performed on Wednesday, the results are still pending.
