Federal Govt Reverts PMC Into The PMDC
The newly formed federal government decided to transform the Pakistan Medical Commission into the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and reinstate the Federal Commission for Higher Education in its original structure.
The sources told this correspondent that the Pakistan People’s Party also wants the revival of the PMDC. The Sindh Government had lowered the score for passing medical and dental college admissions tests, but the PMC refused and SC upheld its decision. However, the newly elected government is considering reinstating the PMDC and amending the HEC law. The changes will come into force after approval by the Federal Cabinet.
