Court issues FIA notice in the case against Aamir Liaquat’s third wife, Dania Malik

A court in Karachi on Tuesday issued notices to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Unit and other defendants regarding a petition against Dania Malik, the third wife of the late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Earlier, a charity filed a lawsuit against Dania in a district and sessional court for posting an indecent video of the former MP.

The plaintiff’s lawyer, Barrister Amir Jameel, asked the court to order the FIA to take action against Dania, alleging that it had circulated indecent videos of Hussain on social media. The court ordered cybercrime officers and the parties to the case to submit their guilty pleas by July 6.

In addition, the petitioner alleged that Liqauat’s third wife had tarnished the image of Pakistani women around the world. He said she should be punished for posting such a video about a minor argument.

Previously, Aamir Liaquat, who was found dead at his home on June 9, was suffering from a serious mental illness due to relentless online trolling after his third wife filed for divorce and made serious allegations against him.
