YouTube Suddenly Went Down Again in Pakistan
YouTube is down in Pakistan for the second time in weeks.
Users from various internet service providers (ISPs) took to social media Tuesday night to report that they were unable to access the site. However, YouTube could be accessed through the mobile app.
Shortly after the reported outage, #YouTubeDOWN was one of the trending topics with over 5,500 tweets. Most users who used the tag reported that they couldn’t access YouTube.
Previously, on August 21, YouTube was down for about an hour in Pakistan. The outage was limited to Pakistan only and was not a global outage.
At this point, it has to be mentioned that big websites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube can sometimes experience global outages. However, just like on August 21st, today there is no global YouTube outage and users faced the issue only in Pakistan.
After the recent outage, TeamYoutube, an official account that publishes YouTube updates, confirmed in a tweet that they had received reports that YouTube was not working in Pakistan. However, there was no official statement from the relevant authorities in Pakistan.
