The Queen feared Andrew’s contact with Virginia Giuffre a decade before the trial

The Queen has had her share of fears surrounding her favorite son, Prince Andrew, and his association with Virginia Giuffre, Express.co.uk reports.

Ms. Giuffre, who has accused Andrew of sexually assaulting her, captioned an interview with the Mail on Sunday, more than a decade since she made legal allegations against the Duke of York. The sit-in, which may not have indicated there had been sexual contact between Queen’s middle son and Giuffre, has reportedly got the monarch worried about future explosive charges.

While Andrew has since settled out of court and agreed to pay Ms. Giuffre $12 million, the Treasury Department confirms that “no public funds” were used to pay for Andrew’s legal costs.

In February 2010, the Mail on Sunday publicly revealed Ms. Giuffre’s case for the first time. During the interview, this accuser claimed that Jeffrey Epstein trained her as an underage prostitute and sponsored her trip to London in 2001 so that she could spend time with the Duke of York.

According to Vanity Fair, Queen had called an urgent meeting with the Duke of York, Andrew, to discuss the matter further.

Author Edward Klein has claimed that Ed Perkins put together a “crisis team” to discuss the Mail on Sunday’s request for comment.

Klein wrote: “According to several well-informed people, the Queen was not amused.”

“He recognized that Virginia Roberts’ story had the potential to overshadow the positive media that was pouring down on William and Kate’s upcoming nuptials.”

“The Queen has asked Prince Andrew why he is dating someone like Jeffrey Epstein, whom the FBI has allegedly linked to around 40 young women, most of them underage.”

“Specifically, the Queen asked if her son had any other surprises up his sleeve.”

Andrew later assured his mother that he had no sexual contact with Ms. Giuffre or any other girls trafficked by her boyfriend Epistein.
