Sindh Govt Issues A Public Holiday Notice On 23rd March 2023
The government of Sindh has declared a public holiday on 23rd March 2023 (Thursday) due to Pakistan Day throughout the province of Sindh.
A statement from the Sindh Department of Services, General Administration and Coordination reads: “The government of Sindh declares 23rd March 2023 (Thursday) as a public holiday on the occasion of ‘Pakistan Day’ throughout the province of Sindh.”
However, the holiday does not apply to essential services, including those involved in COVID-19 and flood relief efforts.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) also issued a statement announcing a public holiday on Pakistan Day. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, all commercial banks in the country will remain closed on this day.
