Royal Expert Explains Why Meghan Markle Appeared On The ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Regarding Meghan Markle’s surprise appearance on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”, a royal correspondent wrote that the Duchess of Sussex wanted to strengthen her image after apologizing for misleading a British court.
Richard Palmer wrote for the British Online Newspaper that some American media have so far largely portrayed Prince Harry’s wife as a victim.
In an article in the New York Times, he said, “I may be wrong, but I don’t think the New York Times covered the appeal hearing the day it hosted an event where Meghan spoke.”
He said the article, maintained by the publication’s website, had the story late last week.

“This is an interesting article because it raises the question of Meghan’s credibility with a liberal, bourgeois audience on the east coast,” wrote Palmer, commenting on the headlines of the nytimes.com article.
“For Meghan an image that was rendered in a UK US split-screen.”
He added, “But it also repeats many of the false assumptions that have made American media coverage of the Sussex exit so unreliable.”
