The Queen will celebrate her anniversary privately at her home in February as the day also marks her father’s death, an expert has said.

The 95-year-old monarch is allowed to visit her father’s grave in the commemoration of her anniversary and accession to power.

Journalist Contino said: “Usually (the Queen) spends this day celebrating the occasion privately because we have to remember that it’s the anniversary of her father’s death, it’s a very sad day for her even if it marks it takes The Tron.”

“This is truly a private family event and anyone who has lost a family member knows this birthday can be difficult so she is privately thinking about it at home but as she is in Windsor she is able to visit her grave on the day.”
