Prince Andrew’s Options Shrink Amid Attack Case

The Queen’s second son Prince Andrew’s troubles don’t seem to be ending anytime soon as a battery charge against him looms.

The monarch could strip Prince Andrew of his title of Duke of York in what a royal expert says would be a great humiliation.

Andrew’s legal team failed to persuade a US judge to dismiss a civil lawsuit alleging that Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17 and alleges she trafficked with Duke Epstein’s boyfriend.

The royal family soon after confirmed the ending of Andrew’s military ties and royal patronage, saying he would no longer be known as “His Royal Highness”.

“It seems clear that the Queen has tried to keep Andrew out of the public eye as much as possible,” Jonathan Sacerdoti, a royal commentator, told Express.co.uk.

Sacerdoti added: “I’m even starting to hear that he and Prince Harry won’t get the Jubilee Medal.”

“I think it must be very difficult for him, but I suspect all his efforts are now focused on the legal case he is involved in, whether that is trying to solve it before going to court or trying to build a strong defense for him. “When the moment comes”. He’s in court.”

He continued, “And I think if that happens in court, we’re going to see a lot of things about him that could be very embarrassing for him and the royal family.”
