Beth Branson’s Cause of Death At Age 19

Tributes poured in after rugby player Beth Branson died in a four-car crash near her Somerset club.

Bridgwater & Albion women’s rugby team praised 19-year-old Beth Branson as “a good woman and a fantastic team member”.

According to Somerset Live, the club’s rugby director Geoff Sluman, Branson “always walked through the building with a smile on his face, no matter what”.

What Happened To The Rugby Player Revealed?

Tuesday night’s collision at the A38 Broadway junction claimed the unfortunate life of Branson. Avon and Somerset confirmed in a statement that a 19-year-old female passenger was killed in the crash.

Three other people were injured, one of whom was taken to hospital but was later released to recover at home.

Two men, aged 35 and 28, suspected of causing the death by reckless driving, have been arrested, according to a police statement. The 28-year-old man was arrested again on suspicion of having hidden a specimen.

“If you were in the area at the time of the collision and witnessed the incident or shortly before, or have a dash cam or CCTV video and have not yet spoken to police, please contact us.”

Beth could be seen in photos released by the Bridgwater & Albion women’s rugby team as she enjoyed playing the sport with her teammates.

“Beth has been a member of our women’s team for many years and has graduated from our girls’ and junior divisions,” the club said in a statement on Facebook.

“She was taken prematurely at 19 and the situation teaches us how unfair some situations are.”

Rugby manager Sluman continued: “I know the women’s team and management group want to honor Beth but they cannot at this time because of the shock and sadness. However, they will when the time is right.”

“At this time, on behalf of myself, Bridgwater & Albion RFC, and especially the women’s department and all of Beth’s many friends at the club, we send our sincere condolences to Beth’s father Ben, mother Amy, and brother Joe and all of Beth’s family.”

Sophie Phillips, women’s team player, and coach, also paid tribute: “Beth was a great player and a great friend to everyone at the club, whose bubbly personality rubs off on everyone and makes every room shine.”

“As a team, I want to offer our condolences to Beth’s family and friends.”
