Prime Minister Imran Inaugurates Pakistan’s Digital City Tech Zone In Haripur Today

Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Khyber Pukhtunkhwa today (Monday) to launch the Pakistan Digital City Special Technology Zone project.

According to the state broadcaster, Mahmood Khan, chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, federal and provincial ministers will accompany the prime minister at the ceremony.

Pakistan Digital City project in KP’s flagship project to provide all facilities for the IT industry in one place. The mega project will span 86 terrestrial channels and is expected to be completed at a cost of Rs 1,310 crore.

According to the report, the project aims to serve as a state-of-the-art facility to enable collaboration and innovation between universities, research, industry, and planners at home and abroad.

Pakistan Digital City will also help other related industries to grow. In August last year, the KP government approved the Digital City project.

In early December 2021, Prime Minister Imran Khan opened the Lahore Technopolis, a special technology zone to create jobs and boost Pakistan’s technology exports.
