Precious Stephens is a Louisiana 911 dispatcher. The New Orleans Police Department continues to search for an 911 operator accused of deliberately hanging up callers in August.
Officials said in a Facebook statement on Thursday that they had “received an arrest warrant for Stephens for embezzlement in the performance of his duties and obstruction of emergency communications.”

Police said that while working with the Orléans Parish Communications District, the dispatcher allegedly “deliberately disconnected 911 calls without obtaining necessary emergency information or relaying these emergencies to other dispatchers for assistance.”
Authorities say a report was made on Aug. 23 and Stephens was still at large on Thursday.
The intercepted calls were made during Stephens’ shift on August 20 and 21, police told NOLA.com in a statement.
As per the media reports, she was fired from her job and her superiors reported her to the police.
“(The district) has cooperated and will continue to investigate this matter and has an obligation to provide assistance to support (the) efforts,” said a statement received from the point of sale.
What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now And Arrest Warrant?
On 24th August, the district announced that Stephens had cut many emergency calls before relaying them or receiving emergency information.
Nola.com reports that the district was conducting a “quality check of a random series of calls.”
The district noted problems with Stephens’ work during her shifts on August 20 and 21.
Following the investigation, Stephens was immediately released and reported to the police. On Friday she is still on the run.
