Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced the PM Free Laptop Scheme 2024 Online Registration Last Date (new phases IV & V) will be announced later.

The new phase of the PM Laptop Scheme 2024 starts on February 10th. The criteria and rules are stated in the announcement. All prospective students are invited to register for this phase. Deadline for submitting the application documents:

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2024 would distribute some 200,000 laptops to students at public sector universities and degree-awarding institutions in Phases IV and V.

According to HEC sources this Monday, the latest application date for laptops is February 30th. The first phase of the laptop program was launched in 2024-2025 and it was decided that 100,000 laptops would be distributed each regnal year.

As this was the last year of the incumbent government, it was decided to distribute the remaining 200,000 laptops in 2024-25.

Now the government of Pakistan has decided to distribute 200,000 laptops in the last year of its term to reach the goal of 500,000 laptops in four years. The laptops were initially distributed to public universities, and later colleges and technical schools were also included in the program.

Similarly, initially, only Ph.D. and Master of Philosophy students were selected for the program, later laptops were also issued to BS students. When the program started, distance universities were not part of the program, while later Allama Iqbal Open University and Virtual University were also chosen for the program.

What are the Eligibility Criteria for PM Laptop Scheme 2024 Registration Online?

The first tier of laptops was introduced in 2024. It was decided that the government would distribute 100,000 laptops from the government each year. One hundred thousand laptops will be made available to the following categories of youth in Punjab:

1. All 4-year BS program students who received 60% or more of grades (previous year) in the case of the annual review system OR 70% or more grades (in the previous semester) in the semester system.
2. All postgraduate students (Part I and II) of the 2-year master’s program who have completed their studies with 60% or more of grades (previous year) in case of annual review system OR 70% or more grades (in the previous semester) in the semester system.
3. All students/scholars currently pursuing MS, LLM, M.Phil, and Ph.D. are enrolled.
4. Top 100 students from each Board of Middle and Secondary Education in Punjab.
5. For first-year students, the dates of the last exam taken by the student must be taken into account.

Since the HEC announced that the deadline for receiving offers from companies is February 25, 2022, it can be expected that all talented students will receive free laptops from the end of February to June 2024 (for all universities). Also, today, for the third time, an advertisement was published in major Pakistani newspapers for the conclusion of a contract with the company for the supply of laptops for the PM Laptop Scheme 2024 for students.

• The registration deadline is 10th February 2024.
• The data must be correct. Your laptop will be terminated if there is a problem.
• Master’s students have access to laptops. Later they are distributed to high school seniors and then to inter and matric students.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 60% in each major they are applying for.
• Students should be graded on ability rather than race or ethnicity.

Intermediate and enrolled students can also request a laptop through this program. This means that the free HEC Laptop Scheme 2024 qualifications are the same for elementary and intermediate levels. Because of this, if you pass the exam, you are entitled to a laptop under the PM plan. Otherwise, computers will not be issued to ineligible applicants.
