PIA Announces Huge Discount On Eid Al-Adha Tickets
To make Eid-ul-Azha easier for citizens, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that it will reduce ticket prices on all domestic routes.
The national carrier reportedly cut domestic fares by 20% for the three days of Eid. The decision was taken on the recommendation of Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
On Wednesday, Pakistan Railways announced a 30% reduction in ticket prices. An official notice said the discount will remain in effect for three days of Eid. In addition, Pakistan Railways will run two special trains ahead of Eid. The first train runs from Quetta to Peshawar, the second from Karachi to Lahore. Both trains run on Friday, the first at 10:00 and the second at 18:45.

In a separate development, PIA announced an increase in weekly direct flights to Skardu in anticipation of a large number of tourists traveling to the northern regions after Eid.
According to the official announcement, the national airline will operate 12 weekly direct flights from six cities to Skardu.
