The government has launched a new online passport renewal service, offered by all regional immigration and passport offices in Lahore, which will soon be extended to the rest of the country.
With an online passport renewal service, you can now renew your passport from the comfort of your own home. It saves time and effort and costs an additional 1,000 rupees, which makes the whole process more convenient.
Here is a simple step-by-step guide to help you renew your passport online:
Step 1:
Go to the Directorate-General for Immigration and Passports online portal.
Step 2:
Enter personal information in the first table: full name, country, and email. Don’t forget to create a strong password.
Step 3:
Verify the email by providing a mobile phone number and selecting the mobile operator that should receive a one-time password (OTP).
Step 4:
Use the verification PIN and the link provided to continue.
After you’ve successfully logged into your Email Passport account, it’s time to start the renewal process:
Step 5:
Start a new application and provide the identification number and passport expiration date.
Step 6:
On the Renewal Application page, enter the CNIC ID Card number and passport number. Select the type of passport, the priority of the application process, the number of pages required, and the validity of the passport.
Step 7:
Add a photo, select the country of residence and on the same page select the passport office.
Next, let’s take care of some important details:
Step 8:
Provide a permanent address that includes a city, state, and zip code.
Step 9:
In the application support documents, upload scanned copies or images of the CNIC, fingerprints, previous passport copy, parent CNIC ID Card and fingerprints.
And now the final steps to complete the process:
Step 10:
Proceed with the payment and accept the terms and conditions.
Step 11:
Enter the billing information with the card details.
Step 12:
Finally, submit the application.
