The Official Name Of Samsung’s Next Folding Screen Laptop Leaks
Samsung is already reaching the limits of foldable smartphones, but it may also be trying to expand foldable display technology to include laptops.
The company’s first laptop with a flip-up screen could be called the Galaxy Book Fold and is expected to be released soon.
Tipster Ice Universe shared this leak on Twitter, showing that this foldable laptop will be called the Samsung Galaxy Book Fold 17.
This device was initially shown at SID 2021 in May this year, but only as a prototype.
Not much is known about this folding-screen laptop, but it will feature a 17-inch foldable OLED display. We also expect the final product to be different from what the company showcased at SID 2021.
The image above shows the concept of the device with extremely thin bezels and a camera below the screen. Its screen extends from the top to the bottom of the laptop.

Samsung isn’t the first company to introduce this technology, as Lenovo announced the ThinkPad X1 Fold last year. The X1 Fold has a 13.3-inch foldable OLED display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.
It’s an interesting idea, but at the end of the day, it all depends on how you perform in the market.
