MTag Registration Online 2023

If you frequently drive on the motorway, an M-Tag can make your journeys easier and more comfortable.

Developed by the National Highways Authority (NHA), M-Tag allows you to drive through tollbooths without stopping. This makes traffic flow and toll collection much faster and easier.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the simple process of applying for an M-Day, both at a physical booth and online.

Step 1: Find a Booth Nearby

To begin your M-Tag application process, find a physical booth near you. These stations are usually located near the main tollbooths and service areas.

Step 2: Necessary Documents

Make sure you have your original CNIC ID Card and a copy of your vehicle registration document. Your application cannot be processed without this.

Step 3: Fill Out The Form

Once you have arrived at the stand, carefully fill out the registration form and provide your personal details, vehicle information, and contact details.

Step 5: Send Documents

Hand in your completed form along with the required documents to the kiosk staff. They check your application and verify the information provided.

Step 6: Get The Mtag

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an M-Tag. The employee places it on your windshield and you can use cashless toll payment.

You can check your status or top up your balance through NHA’s One Network smartphone app.

It allows users to easily manage their M-Tag account and check their account balance, trip history, account, and vehicle details. The app also sends users official National Highway and Highway Police (NHMP) notifications of fog and detours.

Towards the end of 2021, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ruled that all vehicles driving from Lahore to the Islamabad Highway (M-2) must carry an M sticker. The authorities implemented the new regulation on December 7, 2021.

In addition, the court directed the NHMP to ensure compliance for all vehicles. The court ordered the NHMP to divert vehicles without an M beacon onto GT Road.
