Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Responded To Vaccines: “Where Is He?”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have urged major drug companies not to deliver the doses given the apparent vaccine fairness around the world.

The duo met with WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus teamed up to provide advice in an open letter to world leaders at the G20 summit.

There they wrote: “When the heads of state and government of the world’s richest countries met at the G7 summit in June, they jointly announced that 1 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines would be sent to low-income, weak and medium-sized countries to immunize the world.” The pharmaceutical companies have made similar promises.

The letter is available for reading on the WHO official website and goes on to read: “However since many countries do not even have enough vaccines for their own health workers, the world is wondering: where are the doses?”

“Of the nearly 7 billion doses administered worldwide, only 3% of people in low-income countries have received a vaccine. Where are the others?”

“COVAX, the initiative that aims to promote equitable global access to COVID vaccines, has promised 1.3 billion doses to be donated to the low-income countries it supports but has only been able to send 150 million (11.5%) to date. Where are the others.”

The final statement went further, saying, “Each dose represents a real person, mother, father, daughter, or son who could have been protected,” they said.

“Each of us comes from very different places, backgrounds, and life experiences, but we share a common goal: tackling global inequalities.”
