Authorities said he was arrested in the shooting that killed Bradley policewoman Marlene Rittmanic and injured another one Friday morning in Manchester, Indiana.
Darius Sullivan was arrested at around 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning after a search warrant was carried out. at his home on the 1000 block of Bond Street in North Manchester, Indiana.

His current age is 25 years.
Illinois Policeman Killed
Wednesday night Police Sgt.Bradley. Marlene Rittmanic and her partner responded Wednesday night to a call from dogs barking in an unattended car in the Comfort Inn parking lot on Route 50, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office said.
They went into the hotel room where the owner of the car was when the police said that people in the room started attacking and shooting at the two police officers.
Rittmanic, 49, was killed and his partner Tyler Bailey, 27, was seriously injured. Bailey was admitted to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, where he underwent surgery for severe head injuries and was in critical condition on Thursday at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Rittmanic first became an officer in the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department in 2000. She had worked for the Bradley Police Department for 14 years and her niece said she only had five years to retire. He leaves behind his wife Lynette Stua.
Darius Sullivan Arrested
Sullivan and one other person from Kankakee were arrested without incident, police said. . Precautions are being taken to bring Sullivan back to Kankakee County, the Illinois State Police said.
A second suspect, Xandria A. Harris, 26, remains at large. Authorities said Harris was in the room with Sullivan at the time of the shooting.
Arrest warrants have been issued against Sullivan and Harris. The sheriff’s office offered a $25,000 reward for the information leading up to Sullivan’s arrest.
