Popular American actress, comedian, and icon Betty White died weeks before an important birthday.

Her agent and close friend Jeff Witjas paid tribute to her in a statement to People and said: “We will unfortunately miss her.”

“Even though Betty was about to be 100 years old, I thought she would live forever,” he said.

Her Professional Career

A pioneer and media pioneer, Betty had the longest female television career before her death: she appeared on various shows over the past 8 decades, starting in 1939.

Betty is perhaps best known for her starring role as Rose Nylund in “The Golden Girls,” which ran from 1985-1992. However, she had played TONS of other great hits all her life.

Betty made her radio debut in the 1940s with appearances on “Blondie”, “The Great Gildersleeve” and “This Is Your FBI”. He finally got his radio show.

In 1949 she began working with Al Jarvis on a television variety show called Hollywood on Television, which she later co-hosted before moving to other television roles.

Her breakthrough comic book role came in 1973 when she played Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which ran until 1977, and she got her lead role on The Betty White Show.

With 115 acting credits, Betty has played roles in productions such as “Life with Elizabeth”, “Date with the Angels”, “The Love Boat”, “Mama’s Family”, “The Golden Palace”, “Ladies Man”. “That ’70s Show”, “Higglytown Heroes”, “Boston Legal”, “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “Pound Puppies”, “Hot in Cleveland” and many other shows and films.

Betty has won 5 Primetime Emmy Awards, including 2 for Mary Tyler Moore, 1 for Golden Girls, and 1 for her appearance on SNL in 1975, as well as awards from the Screen Actors Guild, American Comedy Awards, and even a Grammy … 2012.

She has been nominated for several Golden Globes and has also been honored with numerous awards and celebrations of life in various organizations.

The Hollywood icon is honored, and Happy Days star Winkler says it is “so hard to understand” that she is “no longer here”.

“Thank you for your humor, your warmth, and your activism. Take a rest now and say hello to Bill,” he tweeted.

Actor and TV host LeVar Burton tweeted: “You all lost one of the greatest people of all time with the death of #BettyWhite!”

CNN presenter Don Lemon expressed his sadness and wrote: “Nooooooooooo. Say no,” with a heartbroken emoji.

Former Star Trek actor George Takei paid tribute to the ‘national treasure’ with the words: “Our Sue Ann Nivens, our beloved Rose Nylund, went to heaven to please the stars with her style, humor, and inimitable charm. A great loss for all of us, we will miss her very much.”
