Who is Karen Alcock? Biography, Wiki

Karen Alcock, a mother whose dangerous husky killed her three-month-old daughter in a late-night attack, faces jail time.

Alcock today pleaded guilty to being responsible for the escaped dog that killed baby, Kyra Leanne King. Kyra’s father, Vince King, 54, denied liability and ownership during a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday.

Her current age is 41 years.

What Were The Details Of An Incident?

Emergency services will charge just after 11 pm at Ostlers Plantation, a toboggan run, near Woodhall Spa, Lincs on March 6 of this year.

Little Kyra was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with fatal injuries to her neck and head. She had been brutally murdered by a husky sled dog named Blizzard.

Family friends said her parents took her on a husky racing training trip before she was killed. The area is one of the few in the country where jockeys can legally practice when their dogs pull them on sleds.

His parents, from New York near Coningsby, Lincs., were later charged by police after paramedics alerted them to the horror.

Jailed

Alcock will be sentenced next year, while King will go to trial in June next year. Judge Simon Hirst addressed both and said Ms. Alcock’s guilty plea would put her in an “excellent position” in court.

But he said to Mr. King: ‘Since your defense is effective, it has nothing to do with you; it has everything to do with Miss Alcock… “I’m afraid Miss Alcock will have to wait until the trial is over.”

The killer husky is isolated in a secure kennel; Lincolnshire Police are seeking a search warrant to destroy it.

Last month, Detective Constable Craig Davey said the inquest into Kyra’s death was “deeply saddened”.

Police were “unbiased” during the “long and exhaustive” investigation, which involved specialized forensic experts. Officers from Lincolnshire Police’s Vulnerable Persons Unit were also involved, added DC Davey.

He said: “We have filed charges against two individuals and will continue to work with CPS as the case progresses through the justice system.”

The maximum penalty for possession or possession and responsibility for a dog that is out of control causing injury and death is 14 years in prison.
