Judge Gleason was named the victim of a former Navy sniper who authorities say was involved in an arbitrary shooting in Florida in which Gleason, his wife, their baby, and another relative were massacred.
The sheriff said the gunman, who did not know the family, also wounded an 11-year-old girl with seven gunshot wounds, but she survived.
In Polk County, Florida, Sheriff Grady Judd described the suspect’s actions as an “active sniper rampage”.
The suspect’s name was Bryan Riley, a veteran who showed up at Gleason’s home to fight despite not knowing the people inside, the sheriff said.

His current age was 40 years.

Around 4:30 a.m., on another call, a lieutenant was two miles away when he heard two bursts of gunfire from cars, Judd said.
He was west of the crime scene, about two miles. He immediately warned his agents to respond to the area. In the same second’s calls were received to the 911 emergency number from an active shooter, the sheriff said.
An active firing protocol was created. Lakeland was the next neighborhood. Several agencies immediately sent their resources.
What they found upon arrival: “As they tactically approached the area, there was a burning truck and a popping noise in the front yard. The deputies also noticed the delicate lights that lined the path from the street to the house. When they got closer, they saw a person wearing a bulletproof vest and they seemed willing to involve us all in an active shooting situation, but we didn’t see any weapons,” he said.
He later said that the lights were glowing sticks.
The sheriff continued: “We are very far in the country, so it is not uncommon to see people in disguise, but he was dressed. He looked like he was wearing a bulletproof vest. He ran into this house. We did not know who he was nor did we see a weapon.”
The deputy heard another volley, a woman screaming and a baby moaning. “The lieutenant tried to enter through the front of the house. He was entrenched. He ran to the other entrance and there was a shootout when the suspect opened fire on the officers.”
Who Are The Suspects To Be Arrested?
The sheriff details the suspect’s background.
“He was a sailor. He served four years and was honorably discharged and served as a reservist for three more years. He was posted to Iraq in 2008, Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010, and during that time he was named a sniper,” Judd said of Riley.
Judd said: “While he interviews us, he tries to convince us that he has a mental illness. It matches very well with his statements and his confession. And I killed her anyway “He is wicked in the flesh. He was a rabid animal. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the injured and deceased. C It is just a blessing from God that during the shooting and robbery that followed neither of them were my deputies and our colleague from the Lakeland Police Department killed in shootings.”
Riley lived in Brandon, Florida, about 35 miles from the shooting. Riley worked as a security officer, Judd said. He had a secret gun license, Judd said.

Gleason’s profile photo shows him with a pregnant woman. Your cover photo shows a baby.
He wrote on Facebook that she graduated from Auburndale High School. “The photos are priceless… A beautiful family!” wrote a person a few weeks ago.
A Facebook page of the woman who gave birth to Gleason’s baby has a photo of him holding the baby. “Great as Dad,” he wrote (we did not name them because the victims have not been publicly identified), wrote a loved one. He filled his page with photos of the baby, Gleasons, and the family.
A friend posted on Facebook: “Judge Gleason, may you and your beautiful bride… and your baby rest in peace with our Lord. We will miss you! You have been a good man and friend to all. Praying to God gives comfort to your family and everyone who knows you.”
