Who is Ivan Fedorov of Melitopol, Ukraine? Biography, Wiki
Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Melitopol, has been kidnapped by Russian forces, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ukrainian parliament claimed that Fedorov was kidnapped by a group of 10 gunmen who put a plastic bag over his head.

Russian Troops Accused Of Kidnapping The City’s Mayor
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry warns that the kidnapping of Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov constitutes a war crime and says the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
Images posted to Telegram by the deputy head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office show Fedorov being escorted to a downtown square.
Zelenskyy compared the kidnapping to the actions of “ISIS terrorists” and said Russian forces “entered a new phase of terror”.
The President warned: “They are trying to physically eliminate the representatives of the legitimate local authorities of Ukraine.”
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry warned that the kidnapping constituted a war crime and promised to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“We call on the international community to respond immediately to the kidnapping of Ivan Fedorov and other civilians and to increase pressure on Russia to end its barbaric war against the Ukrainian people,” the statement added.

The southern port city of Melitopol, with a population of around 150,000, was taken by Russian forces on February 26.
The People’s Republic’s prosecutor’s office in Luhansk, a Moscow-backed breakaway region in eastern Ukraine, charged Fedorov with “terrorist activities”.
Before the invasion began, US intelligence warned that Russia was planning to arrest and kill certain targets in Ukraine.
President Zelenskyy himself would probably be one of those targets.
