How To Use SIM in Non-PTA Blocked Phone?

Due to import restrictions and high PTA registration fees, consumers are forced to opt for PTA-free mobile phones as smartphone prices in Pakistan have increased significantly.

PTA approval of phones was not an idea back then and Pakistanis could easily buy any phone. But now everything is different.

A phone can use any SIM card for two months after being imported into Pakistan, after which the PTA will disable the device.

Due to the decision of the business owners not to worry about investing additional funds for PTA approval and the decision to pay the high price of PTA approval for users to use SIM cards, the market of Pakistan Mobile is currently inundated with non-PTA phones.

Which SIM Works On PTA-Blocked Phones?

People use different phones to keep their SIM cards active as the SIM cards in these phones stop working after two months. Few know that non-PTA phones still support SIM cards.

Users can buy a cellular network SIM card called SCOM and activate their number.

For those who don’t know, SCO introduced the first GSM cellular services in Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan in 2004 under the name SCOM.

In more than 450 towns and villages in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, SCOM offers the widest network coverage at eye level in the region in rural and urban areas, but can also be deployed nationwide.

However, there is a downside for residents of other parts of Punjab as SCOM SIM is not offered everywhere. Many people sell SCOM connectors online, so you can search for OLX or order SIM cards online by visiting SCOM’s official website.

People buy non-PTA phones like iPhones and other flagship models from Samsung, OnePlus, Sony, Xiaomi, and other manufacturers because PTA-approved phones are quite expensive now.

People are forced to carry extra phones to keep their SIM cards active as the SIM card stops working on these unapproved phones after two months.

It’s important to remember that while these phones may appear cheaper at the time of purchase, adding the PTA registration fee makes them more expensive.
