Heidi Matheny, an Ohio woman, reportedly drowned her grandmother the day after the 93-year-old was told she was being placed in a nursing home.
Eaton’s granddaughter Matheny would be charged with murder after she confessed to the twisted crime that took the life of Alice Matheny on Tuesday.

“According to the confession, she was tired of taking care of a grandmother,” Eaton Police Division chief Steven Hurd said, according to WDTN.
The granddaughter feared she could not afford the nursing home costs and that insurance would not cover the bill, according to a police report seen by the TV station.
After the granddaughter and grandmother enjoyed ice cream, Heidi Matheny, 35, sneaked up behind Alice Matheny as she was washing dishes and allegedly pressed her head against the sink and held it there “until the blisters stopped,” according to the police report.
Confesses Killing
She then told police that she filled her bathtub and held her grandmother for about 15 minutes because she wasn’t sure if she was dead, according to WHIO.
When Alice Matheny stopped breathing, he left her in the bathtub and went to the police station, where she confessed, WHIO reported.
“It’s not something she did,” Heidi Matheny said in a police interview, according to WDTN.
“She’s not, she’s the perfect spooky grandma.”
