Pregnant Woman Found Dead in Florida City Park
Florida authorities are investigating the death of a nine-month-pregnant woman whose body was found in a city park on Saturday.
First Coast News reports that the body of Felicia Jones, 21, was found by a person walking in Riverview Park in Jacksonville. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators said they were treating the case as a presumed death “with an expected crime.” They didn’t say what made them believe.
Jones’ family has announced that she will be born on 8th October.
“It’s a complete unborn baby that can be born in two weeks. A beautiful young lady who just turned 21 this month,” Jones’s aunt Angelica Williams told First Coast News.
“We wanted this baby. I was super excited with my nephew. All of that has been taken away from us. We are desperate at the moment.
What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators said they considered Jones’ death ‘suspicious,’ as per the first Coast News.
They added that “foul play” is suspected but did not specify.
Authorities did not say if they had a suspect.
The coroner has yet to confirm Jones’ cause of death.
