Louis Watkiss died after an injury on a ski slope. Watkiss of Sutton Coldfield, Staffs, was fatally injured at the busy SnowDome complex in Tamworth on Friday night.
A witness claimed that the young man was “in the middle of the hill” when his sled collided with a skier.

Staffordshire Police were called to the Tamworth SnowDome on Friday to report that a child had been seriously injured.
Paramedics attended the scene, but Louis of Sutton Coldfield died shortly after.
Officers continue to investigate the situation with the help of the health and safety officer.
Officials support the family.
“We ask everyone to respect the family’s right to cry in private at this extremely difficult time,” the company said.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service previously said its workers tried to rescue Louis, who died “after an incident on the tracks.”
A man who was also injured in the incident did not need treatment.
What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
The venue, which has been closed since Friday, said in a statement: “Managers and staff are deeply shocked by what happened and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this terrible time.”
“The authorities are currently conducting an investigation and we offer them our full cooperation.”
Staffordshire County Council Chairman Alan White said he was shocked by the “tragic news.”
“We will have to wait until the circumstances are clarified, but I extend my condolences to the families and friends of the deceased and to all those who have been affected by this tragedy at this terrible time,” he said.
