Dolph Ziggler Talks About The Recent WWE Rumors of Former IC Champion
Dolph Ziggler recently interviewed by TalkSport‘s spokesperson Alex McCarthy, speaking on a variety of topics.
In an interview, he talked about rumors that former WWE IC Champion John Morrison had agreed to an agreement to return to WWE in September. It should be noted that none of the parties confirmed these rumors and did not appear in WWE programming.
Morrison, who worked for the company between 2002 and 2011, has been involved in several promotions outside the company for the past eight years, including Lucha Underground, AAA, and Impact Wrestling.
According to Dolph Ziggler, he has heard nothing of Morrison’s signing a contract, but he hopes because of his friendship the rumors may be true.
“I hear that again and again! What the hell He’s a friend of mine. We hang out and do things together. I just did a little cameo on a short movie he did a few weeks ago, and then he posted those pictures of both of us, and then I released them as ‘That’s great.’ Then everyone is like ‘Confirmed! These guys are a tag team, they dress like a double dragon, they’re back!’ And I’m like ‘guys’ [laughs].
He is my friend and I have done him a favor. He keeps it under his coat, which he does, but for three years he tells me that he will return! Well, I do not know if he plays with me or what, so I stopped asking him. I hope he comes back. It’s been a long time, it will be very refreshing to see it. 10 years ago, he and I started the show overseas on these tours or fought before the break, the first major event where we had the free hand to tear them down and have fun. I hope he comes back soon, I do not know.”
