Citizens Of These 43 Countries Are Not Required To Take A Driving Test in The UAE

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the best places for expats, with a population that exceeds that of the Emiratis living there. Obtaining a driving license is essential while residing in the United Arab Emirates.

However, it is very difficult to obtain a UAE driver’s license, especially due to the county’s strict traffic regulations. But citizens of 43 countries have the opportunity to exchange their national driving licenses for those of the United Arab Emirates.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoI) is offering an opportunity to exchange licenses under the Markhoos initiative, which gives expatriates the right to drive with their home country’s driver’s license or exchange it for a UAE permit if they have a residency permit.
