Aspen Jeter has been missing since her mother was found dead on Thanksgiving. South Carolina authorities are searching for a girl who has gone missing after her mother was found dead on Thanksgiving.
On Monday, the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office announced the search for Aspen Jeter via Facebook and shared a photo of her.

South Carolina Girl Missing
Police say she was called to perform a wellness check at her home in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on Thanksgiving. Once there, the publication said, “agents found a deceased woman who had not been heard from since 1st November.”
Authorities said they later discovered the woman, who has not been publicly identified, was Aspen’s mother. When her mother’s body was found, the girl was not at home.
“If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this child, please let us know,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said, according to the Facebook post.
“You don’t have to give your name; Just give us what you know.”

OCSO did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
According to NBC affiliate WIS-TV, family members identified the woman as a Crystal Jumper. According to the outlet, when police arrived at his home, they shot Jumper and laid him on her bed.
What Was The Family’s Statement?
As her family mourns, they tell WIS-TV they are also focused on finding Aspen. “She’s a sweet baby and we just want her home,” said Aspen’s uncle and Crystal’s brother Pauley Jumper.
He added that he last spoke to Crystal on November 1st. However, this was not unusual.
“He was a private person; She was left alone,” he said, according to WIS-TV.
Crystal’s cause of death will be determined later this week following an autopsy.
He added of Aspen, “She can’t walk; she can’t speak so everyone is praying they will take her home.”
Police Investigation Report
Police visited Crystal’s home after her cousin told police she had not spoken to her and that they usually spoke to each other every day, WCSC Charleston authorities said.
OCSO told the news channel that when they arrived at Crystal’s house, there was no car outside and no one answered when they called.
An officer walking through the house smelled a strong odor and asked the officers to enter. There they found Crystal, but not Aspen. Officers are looking for the girl and Crystal’s vehicle and have alerted residents if they see her car. They shared no description.
