Apple iPhone 14 Receives The Biggest Camera Update In Years

iPhones have been limited to a lower megapixel camera for centuries. The highest resolution you get is only 12MP and this goes for the latest and greatest iPhone 13 Pro Max too.

But that trend could change with the iPhone 14 next year when the latest report from popular analyst Ming Chi Kuo is released. In general, Kuo has been accurate with its leaks in the past and now claims that the iPhone’s camera technology will be updated in the years to come.

That means that not only the iPhone 14 but also the iPhone 15 will have something new in 2023. The iPhone 14 will get a 48-megapixel camera with 8K video recording for the first time. This 48 MP camera can take 48 MP and 12 MP photos by pixel binning.

The camera’s high-quality videos will be cropped onto an Apple AR / VR device slated to hit the market next year.

The analyst claims that this camera will be supplied by Largan Precision, a Taiwanese camera manufacturer and also the largest supplier in the industry. It represents around 30% of the world market share.

By 2023, the iPhone 15 is slated to have a periscope zoom lens that will finally allow you to compete with the flagship androids that have been doing this for years.
