WhatsApp Introduces A Chat Filter Feature

After a series of updates, Metas WhatsApp is now planning to introduce the ability to filter chats on standard accounts.

Website WABetaInfo reported that the app is rolling out the feature to regular users after successfully launching it for business accounts last year. The social platform added simple filters to quickly find specific cats in the beta versions of their Android, iOS, and desktop apps.

The feature will now slowly be rolled out to standard accounts in the next update.

WABetaInfo found the business accounts feature is available in a chat. The feature allows users to sort chats based on four filters: unread chats, contacts, non-contacts, and groups. The filter button is visible in chat even when chats and messages are not searched.

The feature is now available for users who have WhatsApp UWP 2.2216.4.0 Beta installed. It is still under development for standard WhatsApp accounts and will be released in a future update.
