UAE Officially Issues A Notice Of Eid Al-Fitr 2023

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially confirmed that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated across the country tomorrow (Friday) after Thursday night’s crescent moon sightings.

State news agency WAM reported on Twitter that Friday is the first day of Eid.

Justice Minister and Chair of the Moon Sighting Committee, Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, announced that the committee successfully sighted the Shawwal crescent moon on Thursday evening.

According to him, the announcement came after all Sharia criteria had been met and contacts had been made with neighboring countries. The committee said Thursday, April 20 will be the last day of Ramadan 1444 and Friday, April 21 will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

The Minister and Committee members conveyed their greetings to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Members of the Supreme Council and the rulers of the Emirates and the crown princes on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

They also congratulated UAE residents and Muslims around the world on this blessed occasion.
