Students Affected By Flooding Are Allowed To Take Part in A Special MDCAT

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced that it will organize a special Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) for students from flooded areas and those affected by other issues.

The MDCAT, scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2023, will be held as scheduled, as per the PMDC notification.

However, the statement available on news media further states that the incumbent Federal Minister for Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan, has announced a separate MDCAT exam for students from flood-affected areas and those with other valid reasons.

The decision was made to ensure justice and to ease the pressure on students affected by these unforeseen events.

A date for the special MDCAT test for students affected by flooding will be announced after discussions with provincial governments.

The PMDC in the notification reiterated that the same approved syllabus will be applicable for this special exam. Students can access this program on the PMDC website.
